Bank Rakyat Offers Moratorium on Repayments of RM6 Bil Loans

Bank Rakyat has given a moratorium on repayments worth RM6 billion to its customers impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic . During the six-month moratorium time, its chief executive Rosman Mohamed said the country’s largest Islamic cooperative bank refrained from raising around RM1 billion per month. Given the immense amount involved, he added, there was a need for initiative to assist those impacted by the outbreak. Ruang Bicara said that help does not come from the government alone, the whole nation should be chiping in. All wants to help bring the economy back on track. Mahatir Remains the Charmain of Bersatu: Armada Highlighted

Today, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Youth Wing (Bersatu) maintained that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is still the party’s legitimate leader, and called for party polls to be conducted. In a statement today, Armada even chastised the representatives of Bersatu who had asked for Parliamentary members to be removed from the coalition who had served on the opposition bench. It also called on party leaders to condemn the assertion made by the Registrar of Societies (Ros), that Dr. Mahathir is no longer the chairman of the party he established, alleging prejudice by Bersatu’s Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, who is the Minister of Home Affairs, and who sides with Bersatu’s President and Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
